Every flag is printed, cut, and finished by American workers on heavyweight 200-denier nylon — the same construction used by commercial flagpole operators, universities, and institutions nationwide. Allow production time; we do not offer refunds on custom printed flags.
🏴 Single Sided or Double Sided — Which Is Right for You?
Single Sided: The design prints through to the reverse — reversed and slightly lighter on the back, but fully visible. Standard outdoor choice for most flagpoles and the specification for virtually all commercial and institutional flag programs.
Double Sided: Two separate panels sewn together with a liner — reads correctly and at full color from both sides. Ideal for entrance gates, parade routes, or any installation where wind direction varies and both sides must read clearly.
Why Are LSU’s Colors Purple and Gold?
Before LSU’s first football game in 1893, coach Charles Coates and others sought ribbon for the team. The shop had purple and gold ribbon on hand for the coming Carnival season, so they bought it and made rosettes and badges. Purple and gold endured as LSU’s official colors. Coates also recalled suggesting the name Louisiana Tigers after the team’s 1895 game — drawing on the reputation of Louisiana soldiers known for hard fighting during the Civil War, including Wheat’s Battalion and other Louisiana companies sent to Virginia.
