Mississippi State Flag – The New Magnolia Flag
Official Name: The New Magnolia Flag
Adopted: January 11, 2021
Design Description
The Mississippi state flag features a bold design with a white field? No, a striking vertical tricolor layout: two wide red vertical bars on the outer edges, separated by narrow gold vertical stripes from a central blue field (a Canadian pale). Centered on the blue panel is a large, stylized white magnolia blossom with a golden stamen. Encircling the magnolia is a ring of 20 white five-pointed stars, completed at the top by a distinctive gold five-pointed star composed of five diamond shapes. Below the blossom, the motto “IN GOD WE TRUST” is displayed in white capital letters using the Americana font.
