What is appliqué?
Applique is a process of sewing the symbols onto a flag or banner, rather than printing or embroidering. Similarly to patches on a jacket, each detail of the design is a separate piece of fabric. Applique is a rich and beautiful flag process, producing bold, colorful designs that can be viewed up close where the detail will be appreciated such as indoor displays. It is often found on cotton flags.
